Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience and 2 years overall clinical experience.

Details

• Home health setting serving geriatric patients, including wound care cases
• Requires a minimum of 23-24 visits per week to qualify for a 40-hour guarantee
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend shifts required
• On-call is discretionary and not required
• May be asked to cover surrounding counties in addition to primary territory
• Uses Kinnser/Wellsky for charting, which must be completed on-site and cannot be taken home
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient

• 2 years of experience as a clinician overall
• Current BLS certification required
• Current state PT license required in hand at time of consideration, with no license hits (license required if applicable)
• Pending license not accepted
• Current driver's license required
• Must have reliable transportation and insurance
• OASIS experience preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing patient-centered home health physical therapy care
• Contract length is 4-6 months, with less experienced clinicians required to commit to a full 6 months (non-negotiable)
• All required compliance documents must be completed before starting patient care, which may take 2-3 weeks
• COVID vaccination required, with religious declination allowed
• Flu vaccination may be declined with a declination form
• Any color scrubs accepted with closed-toe shoes required
