Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with 2+ years of experience and required Homecare Homebase/OASIS proficiency to serve patients across designated Maryland service areas.

Details

  • Home health setting covering Montgomery, Prince Georges, Charles, and St Marys Counties, Maryland
  • Assigned to a specific group of zip codes within one county based on staffing needs
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • May be required to float to cover another zip code as needed
  • Uses HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and OASIS for documentation
  • Mileage reimbursed from first to last patient visit of the day using personal vehicle

Requirements

  • Current BLS certification required
  • MD license required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent physical therapy experience within the last 7 years, including OASIS-E experience
  • Homecare Homebase and OASIS experience required
  • Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
  • Two supervisory references required, including one from the most recent assignment, supporting at least 2 years of experience in the previous 3 years
  • Reliable personal vehicle with valid licensure and insurance required
  • Skills include patient assessment, adaptive and assistive devices, body mechanics, pain and skin assessment, and use of gait belts and Hoyer lifts
  • Experience with geriatric and orthopedic patient populations, home exercise programs, and patient/family education

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include providing skilled physical therapy services to patients in their homes across assigned zip code areas
  • Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
  • No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment; maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
  • Previous MedStar employees must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates may only be submitted to one MedStar location at a time
  • Manager interviews are not guaranteed
