PEL/VIP is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois.

Assignment Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN specializing in Critical Care for a travel assignment in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing a range of critical conditions, including respiratory failure and cardiac patients, and will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Assignment Details

  • Specialty/Unit: Critical Care
  • Shift: 12-hour Nights (3x12 nights)
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2538 (negotiable)
  • Assignment Type: Travel
  • Charting System: EPIC

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care to ICU patients including sedated and ventilated individuals
  • Titrate various drips such as Precedex, Propofol, and Levophed
  • Care for patients with PEG tubes, CVC/PICC/Midline, and tracheostomies
  • Operate RT equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPap, and high flow
  • Participate in rotating holiday and weekend shifts
  • Possibility to float to MS unit as needed

Qualifications

Required:

  • Active IL license or ongoing application process
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
  • Proficiency with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC/Midline usage, and tracheostomy care
  • Experience with titrating sedatives and vasopressors
  • Negative drug screen for all panels
