Job Summary:
Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI LAB) is seeking a qualified RN to join a healthcare organization in Highland Park, Illinois. The position involves assisting physicians during gastrointestinal and endoscopy procedures in a fast-paced environment. The RN will support preoperative and postoperative care and handle approximately 30-60 cases per day. The role requires flexibility in start times and the ability to pass an EKG test on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8 hours per day, with start times flexible between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.; 36-40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Illinois licensure, CPR certification, ACLS certification, Epic EMR experience, at least 2 years of experience in GI Lab/Endoscopy, PACU, or Telemetry Admission and recovery; ability to pass an EKG test with an 80% score or higher.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Olympus scopes and other Endo supplies from well-known manufacturers; highly preferred previous procedural nursing experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to facilities in Skokie, Evanston, or Glenbrook.
  • Additional Information: This position involves assisting during approximately 30-60 cases daily, supporting moderate sedation procedures, and utilizing Epic electronic medical records. Orientation sessions are scheduled on Mondays, and credentials are due by the Thursday before the start date.
