Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing or acute care experience
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred
• Comfortable working weekends, holidays, and occasional floating as needed
• Professional, adaptable, and team-oriented approach to patient care

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult med-surg patients with a variety of diagnoses
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and communicate needs promptly
• Administer medications and treatments according to care plans and standards of practice
• Collaborate with charge nurses, aides, providers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Document patient care accurately in the EPIC charting system
• Support safe and efficient patient flow throughout the shift
• Manage care for common med-surg populations including cardiac, respiratory, orthopedic, oncology, and renal patients
• Maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach while contributing to a positive unit culture
