• Weekend / Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370

Job Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission
• Three years of adult, adolescent, and geriatric inpatient psychiatric nursing experience required
• Substance use and behavioral health experience preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Experience with de-escalation, crisis intervention, and restraint reduction preferred
• Must be willing to float to similar or lower acuity units when needed
• Must be willing to take charge responsibilities as assigned
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and professional in high-stress situations

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to psychiatric patients and support families or legal guardians as appropriate
• Help maintain a safe, therapeutic milieu within an inpatient behavioral health environment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support individualized care plans
• Develop, implement, and document goals and interventions based on patient strengths and psychiatric needs
• Use a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented approach to psychiatric nursing care
• Support crisis management, de-escalation, and patient stabilization efforts
• Maintain professional boundaries while building therapeutic relationships
• Accurately document care in the electronic medical record
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, patient-centered behavioral health environment
