Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency on night shift.

Details

• Float pool role covering various Med/Surg units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs as applicable
• Night shift schedule from 7:00PM to 7:30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday shift required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic EMR for charting

Requirements

• Active Illinois state RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

• Provides direct nursing care across multiple patient populations while floating between units
• Completes patient assessments, develops and implements plans of care, and evaluates ongoing nursing interventions
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care
• May precept staff from various units as needed
• Reports and corrects safety hazards and incidents as part of standard responsibilities
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• First-time travelers may be considered
