Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma and EPIC charting experience.

Details

Float pool role covering various inpatient Med/Surg units including Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs as needed
Level 1 Trauma center hospital setting
Uses EPIC EMR charting system
Night shift schedule, 7:00PM - 7:30AM
36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
Every other weekend required
Every other holiday required
No on-call requirements
Floats to similar units as needed

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required
ASN required, BSN preferred
Level 1 Trauma experience required
EPIC charting experience required

Additional Information

Provide direct nursing care and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members across various patient populations
Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
Implement and modify nursing interventions and care plans based on continuous evaluation
Precept staff from various units as needed
Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
