Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift role requiring a WI or compact license and float flexibility across multiple units.

Details

  • Float pool position covering Medical, Surgical/Peds, Ortho/Neuro, and Sub-Acute units
  • Hospital and trauma center setting
  • Night shift schedule (6:30P-7:00A)
  • Required to work every other weekend and holidays
  • 13-week assignment length

Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Current BLS/BCLS certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Education verification required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques, policies, and standards of care
  • Documents patient care according to standards of care
  • Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care in collaboration with physicians, including patient and family instruction
  • Participates in unit or department performance improvement activities
  • Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments supporting patients' longitudinal plans of care
  • Utilizes critical thinking to support patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
  • Holiday coverage required per facility schedule
