GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Boise, Idaho.

Opportunity:
RN - Float Pool
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts on either day shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) or night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Weekend shifts required as needed
• Holiday shifts filled in as needed
• No on-call or standby requirements
• Float pool covers ER, ICU, MedSurg, Tele, L&D/PP, and NICU across three facilities - Boise, Meridian, and Nampa (all approximately 20 minutes apart)
• RNs will only float within their specialty and will never float to a lower acuity unit
• Can also float to any facility to serve as a 1:1 sitter in any area
• Travelers are first to float and may be reassigned mid-shift to different units or facilities as needed
• Unit assignment is provided via app one hour before shift start
• No self-scheduling; block scheduling is attempted but not guaranteed
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: ER 1:4, ICU 1:1-2, MedSurg 1:5, Tele 1:4, Peds 1:3, NICU 1:4
• Nurse aides and patient care techs available on units at ratios of approximately 1:8-10 depending on floor and day
• Charge nurse present on all units with float pool assistant managers on call 24/7
• ICU, ER, Tele, and MedSurg RNs required to titrate drips
• ICU, ER, Tele, and PICU RNs must read and interpret telemetry/monitor data
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in specialty and previous travel experience
• L&D travelers should highly prefer antepartum and mother baby experience
• Charting system: EPIC
• 3 shifts of inpatient orientation provided
• No specific scrub color required as long as attire is clean and professional
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (ACLS and NIHSS required for Tele and Critical Care; TNCC required for ED)
• BSN not required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

This healthcare organization operates multiple acute care facilities across the Boise metropolitan area, providing a wide range of inpatient services including emergency care, critical care, medical-surgical, telemetry, labor and delivery, and neonatal intensive care. The organization supports a robust float pool program with dedicated leadership, including seven assistant managers available on call 24/7, a float pool educator, and an administrative team committed to supporting traveling nurses throughout their assignment. All facilities are conveniently located near the interstate with safe parking available at each site.
