Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center, requiring an active MA RN license and Trauma Level I experience.

Details

  • Emergency Department in a Level I Trauma Center
  • Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Shift start time may occasionally flex up to 4 hours earlier or later based on urgent staffing needs
  • EPIC experience preferred
  • Must be able to work all 7 days with no special scheduling accommodations due to union facility rules

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license in hand required
  • Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required, 2+ years preferred
  • Trauma Level I experience required
  • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
  • Must be able to read telemetry
  • Skilled in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Triage skills preferred
  • Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health ED setting a plus
  • 2 professional references required, one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
  • Must pass pass/fail medication and telemetry exams during orientation, each with only 1 attempt; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
  • Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed instruction (FDI)
  • Holiday RTO allows for 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) to be included
  • Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week
  • Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
  • Return staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
  • First-time travelers not specified as accepted or excluded
