Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center position requiring an active MA RN license and telemetry interpretation skills.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma Center
  • Night shift schedule (4x12 hours), 11:00 PM to 11:30 AM
  • Shift start time has rare flexibility of up to four hours earlier or later based on urgent staffing needs
  • Must be able to work all 7 days with no special scheduling accommodations due to union facility rules
  • EPIC experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license in hand required
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
  • Minimum 1.5 years (18 months) of ER nursing experience required; 2+ years preferred
  • Level I Trauma Center experience required
  • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
  • Skilled in respiratory care, care of ventilated patients, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Triage skills required
  • Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health ED is a plus

  • Provide emergency nursing care within a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center setting
  • Must pass a pass/fail telemetry exam (80% passing score, 1 attempt) and a pass/fail medication exam during orientation; failure to pass results in immediate contract cancellation
  • Various study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews to support exam preparation
  • Accepts local candidates at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius for RNs
  • Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
  • Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
  • First-time travelers are not required, but candidates should have relevant trauma experience
