HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Registered Nurse – ER

Facility: Meritus Medical Center
Location: Hagerstown, MD
Start Date: 09/28/2026
Duration: 20 weeks
Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
Schedule: 4x12-hour nights; every other weekend; 6 weekend shifts per contract
Patient Ratio: 1:4
Charting System: Epic
Float Required: Not specified
Call Requirement: None
Note: 2 years of experience and at least 1 year of ED travel experience required. Level II Trauma Center with high-acuity patients; 54-bed ER averaging 220 patients/day. Locals not accepted. BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH required (pending certifications may be accepted). 

Position Overview:
Provide emergency nursing care in a high-volume, fast-paced Level II Trauma Center serving patients across the lifespan. The RN will perform rapid assessment and triage, manage high-acuity medical and trauma conditions, provide emergency interventions, and monitor patients requiring critical care.

Job duties:

  • Perform rapid emergency assessment and triage while prioritizing patients based on acuity and presenting condition.
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and provide emergency cardiovascular interventions.
  • Manage critically ill patients requiring ventilator support, BiPAP/CPAP, IV vasopressors, and continuous sedation.
  • Establish and maintain IV access, administer medications and blood products, and provide central line care as clinically indicated.
  • Provide trauma and emergency care for conditions including CVA, STEMI, shock, orthopedic trauma, and other high-acuity presentations.

Requirements:
License: Active RN license
Experience: 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of ED travel experience
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS/NIH
Other requirement: Epic experience required; Level II Trauma/combined adult-pediatric ED experience preferred; must be comfortable with high-acuity emergency patients and a fast-paced environment.

Unit Details:
Unit: ER RN, 11.6711 – 54-bed Emergency Department
Patient Ratios: 1:4 days, nights, and weekends
Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: High-acuity medical and traumatic conditions, including CVA, STEMI, dysrhythmias, shock/trauma, gunshot wounds, orthopedic trauma, and respiratory emergencies

Choice of 3x12 or 4x12 schedule available.
