Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC certifications and prior travel experience.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center emergency department at a short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds
- 1:4 patient ratio
- Evening shift, 4x12 hours (11:00-23:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license (CT or Compact) required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required (1.5 years accepted with Level I trauma or travel experience)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Epic charting system experience required
- Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, respiratory care, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, triage, and IV vasopressor administration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care including triage, medication administration, and cardiac emergency response in a fast-paced trauma center setting
- Free parking available on site
- Part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Flu vaccination required with no declinations accepted
- COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only
- Local candidates not accepted unless residing more than 75 miles from the hospital
- Former staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of requested time off can be auto-approved
- Travelers may be required to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities
