Description

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN with a CA RN license and 2 years of ED experience for a 26-week assignment.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting with 200 staffed beds
  • Emergency Department unit
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Variable shift start times with 12-hour night shifts (1500 or 1900 start)
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • No floating required between units
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
  • Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
  • Neurological skills and ICP monitoring experience preferred
  • Triage skills required
  • Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency department nursing care including triage and patient monitoring
  • Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Scrub color requirement: solid royal blue for RNs
  • Free parking available on-site
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • All RTO requests must be submitted upfront at time of submission
