Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a night shift position requiring IA or compact RN license and ACLS/TNCC certification.

Details

  • Work in a 217-licensed-bed regional health center with services including ED, Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, and more
  • Emergency Room unit with 17 beds
  • Patient population primarily adults and geriatrics
  • Patient ratio of 1:6, averaging 40 visits per day
  • Night shift schedule, 7P-7A
  • Every other weekend required
  • Call coverage required to support 24/7 daily volume
  • Uses MediTech EHR

Requirements

  • Active RN license (IA or Compact) required
  • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, TNCC
  • 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility required
  • Iowa SING background check required (criminal and child abuse portions), with no instant or statewide searches accepted
  • Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
  • 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
  • Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care to a mixed adult and geriatric patient population
  • Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at the local rate
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
  • Monday or Tuesday start dates accommodated
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
