Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide high-quality care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing patients across the continuum from illness to wellness and work collaboratively with various healthcare disciplines to deliver comprehensive care.
Assignment Details
- Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Nights 7p-7a
- Assignment Length: Full-time
- Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
- Location: Wisconsin
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate all levels of patient care.
- Perform age-appropriate assessments and provide safe care to all ages.
- Conduct triage using the Emergency Severity Index (ESI) 5 level triage process.
- Document and maintain emergency department records.
- Collaborate with providers, peers, and ancillary departments for efficient patient care.
- Coordinate care needs of multiple patients and prioritize care.
- Advocate for patients through effective communication.
- Monitor life support and automated technical equipment.
- Administer medication and emergency resuscitation protocols.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for use.
- Contribute to educational experiences for pre-hospital emergency providers and students.
Qualifications
Required:
- Two-year degree in nursing required.
- Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Registered Nursing license or active Compact Licensure.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Four-year degree in nursing preferred.
- ATCN certification preferred.
