Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, ensuring high-quality treatment and monitoring of patients.
• Perform triage and prioritize care based on the severity of patients' conditions.
• Administer medications and perform advanced life support interventions as necessary.
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and provide care for ventilated patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using EPIC (preferred).
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting, with at least 1.5 years being recent experience.
• Permanent MA license in hand required.
• Experience with psych/behavioral health in an ED setting is strongly preferred.
• Trauma Level I experience is required.
• Must be able to read telemetry and manage dysrhythmias.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications are preferred.
• Experience with pediatric patients and care of ventilated patients is strongly preferred.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
