Job Requirements

• Active New York RN license in good standing
• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Pediatric Emergency Department experience strongly preferred
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with EPIC EMR required
• Ability to provide a current resume, skills checklist, and driver’s license with matching address
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Must be able to float as needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and manage patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Administer and monitor complex medications and drips, including pressors, anti-arrhythmics, sedatives, anticoagulants, and insulin
• Provide care for patients across all age groups, including newborns, pediatric patients, adults, and older adults
• Work effectively with rapid-response equipment and specialty tools in a high-acuity clinical setting
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate prompt, patient-centered interventions
• Adapt to floating assignments and provide dependable support across the unit as needed
