Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Travel ER Registered Nurse (RN) to join an acute care emergency department. The ideal candidate must have recent Cerner EMR experience and strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
Unit Details:
- Department: Emergency Room (ER)
- Department Size: 33 patient care rooms, including 25 rooms with cardiac monitors and 2 triage bays
- Patient Volume: Approximately 210 patients per day
- Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Patient Population: Routine emergency cases, including ER holds; STEMIs, hemorrhagic strokes, and pediatric patients are transferred out
- Stroke Certification: Stroke-certified facility
- Trauma Level: Not specified
- Charge Nurse: Available 24/7
- Support Staff: ER technicians with EMT, MA, or CNA backgrounds
- Respiratory Therapy: Available 24/7
- Pharmacy: Available 24/7
- IV Team: Not available
- Floating: No floating outside the ER
- Orientation: Up to 6 shifts with a preceptor
Schedule Requirements:
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- Two weekends per four-week schedule
- Holiday coverage as needed
- Two out of three holidays may be required
- Self-scheduling is available, but the scheduler may rebalance schedules as needed
- Scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
- Travel teams are permitted, but identical schedules are not guaranteed
