Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER) to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment, attending to patients with diverse needs.
  • Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient information and care provided.
  • Maintain strong, thorough documentation skills in compliance with EMTALA regulations.
  • Participate in unit self-scheduling and comply with mandatory shift requirements including weekends and holidays.
  • Collaborate with charge nurses, ER techs, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Complete floor-specific orientation with up to 6 shifts alongside a preceptor to adapt to unit specifics.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license to practice in California.
  • Minimum of 1-year recent Emergency Room experience preferred.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
  • Recent experience with Cerner EMR preferred; ability to test out of Cerner training.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills; experience with patient care in a high-acuity ER setting.
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
