Unit: Emergency Department (ED)
Beds: 101
Typical Patient Ratio: 4:1 for medical patients; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
Documentation System: Cerner

Staffing

Technicians available in:
Cardiac Monitoring Unit
Internal Processing Area
Triage staff
Unit Clerks available on day and night shifts

Equipment

Baxter IV Pumps
Client Monitors

Scheduling Requirements

Every other weekend required
Block scheduling is not available
Schedule must meet the needs of the department

Floating Policy

No floating outside of the Emergency Department
Must be flexible and willing to float among all sections of the ED

Patient Experience Requirements

Follow AIDET standards
Maintain respectful behavior
Provide a positive patient experience for every patient
Keep patient boards updated
Keep patients informed throughout their visit

Hiring Profile

Requested Skill Set

2 years of experience in a Level II Trauma Center
Experience in a Comprehensive Stroke Center
Experience in a high-volume ED with more than 100,000 visits
Previous HCA experience preferred

Must-Have Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
At least 1 year of Emergency Department experience
Strong teamwork mentality
Ability to coach and provide real-time feedback
Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
