As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in critical situations. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Assess and monitor patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions and documenting care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced critical thinking skills to manage patients with complex and life-threatening conditions.
  • Participate in trauma and stroke care, adhering to facility protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions and post-discharge care plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in an Emergency Department setting, with recent experience within the last 12 months.
  • Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
  • Experience with high volume emergency departments.
  • Proficiency in Epic charting system preferred.
  • Trauma and Stroke CEUs required.
  • Strong skills in arterial line management, ventilated patient care, and emergency medication administration.
  • Ability to manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required, with medical/religious exemptions only.
