• Floating: Required as needed

Job Requirements

• 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last 3 years
• Current Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA
• Epic charting experience required
• Prior travel nurse experience required
• Ability to successfully complete a telemetry exam prior to start
• Experience with high-acuity emergency care and a broad range of emergent conditions preferred
• Ability to adapt to a busy, team-oriented environment and deliver safe, patient-centered care across all populations

Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing emergency nursing care for patients of all ages
• Respond to a wide range of high-acuity presentations, including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, psychiatric, and medical emergencies
• Administer medications, initiate IV therapy, manage critical interventions, and support advanced emergency procedures
• Monitor patient status closely and recognize changes that require immediate intervention
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, imaging, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Document care accurately in Epic and maintain strong clinical communication throughout the shift
• Support safe patient flow in a busy Emergency Department while delivering compassionate, efficient care
• Float to other emergency department areas as needed to support patient care needs
