• Patient Volume: Approximately 45,000 annual visits
• Patient Ratio: 4:1 days, nights, and weekends
• Float Requirement: May be asked to float as needed
• Scheduling: Other/rotating coverage as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience within the last 3 years
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications from AHA
• Epic charting experience required
• Ability to pass a telemetry exam prior to start
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled emergency nursing care for patients of all ages, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and stabilization for acute and emergent conditions
• Support care for trauma, stroke, respiratory distress, cardiac events, behavioral health emergencies, and other urgent presentations
• Administer medications, initiate IVs, manage blood products, and monitor patient response
• Assist with advanced emergency interventions such as airway support, procedural sedation monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary support teams to ensure efficient patient flow
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain safe, timely, evidence-based care
• Serve as a flexible team member who can adapt to changing patient volume and acuity
