Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of current ED experience and a VT or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in a 24/7 Emergency Department at a critical access hospital serving approximately 14,000 patient visits annually
  • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend required, with holidays as needed
  • Block scheduling is not available for this position
  • 48-hour guarantee is not offered for this position

Requirements

  • Active VT or Compact RN license required and must be uploaded with profile
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), and TNCC
  • 2+ years of current Emergency Department experience in a hospital setting required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3 months minimum travel experience preferred
  • Skills checklist for Emergency Department required, current within 1 year
  • One supervisory signed reference required, from within the past two years of employment
  • Candidate must have their own vehicle for this assignment

Additional Information

  • Screen and triage patients to determine severity of condition and appropriate course of treatment
  • Must work two designated holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day through the weekend after, Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend after, and New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the weekend after
  • All scheduling and RTO requests must be submitted at the time of profile submission; requests made after offer or during interview will not be approved
  • No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted for this assignment
  • Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this assignment
