Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with PA or compact RN licensure required for a night shift assignment.

Details

• General Emergency Department serving combined adult/pediatric patients, including pediatric ED cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, three 12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:30
• Every other weekend (EOW) requirement with weekend shifts on Sat/Sun nights
• Every other holiday (EOH) requirement
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the ED specialty required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Preferred certifications: TNCC, NRP, and CPI
• Epic charting system experience required
• Valid state license or certification required at time of consideration
• Valid references and copies of certifications required
• Skills in pediatrics, trauma, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory care preferred
• Experience with STEMI and stroke certified facility protocols preferred

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a broad range of patient conditions, including trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases
• Perform triage and manage patients under isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius may be considered under a local rate differential
• PA fingerprinting is required and must be completed within 1 week of contract signing, which may involve travel exceeding 100 miles
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• A pass/fail clinical exam is required for clearance with a maximum of 3 attempts
