Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ER Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I trauma facility. The RN will provide emergency care to patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency nursing care, including triage and patient assessment.
Care for patients with traumatic injuries and other emergency conditions.
Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and respond to emergencies.
Start and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy, and administer blood products.
Administer IV vasopressors and care for ventilated patients.
Follow isolation precautions and maintain appropriate PPE practices.
Collaborate with respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and other departments.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience; 18 months may be accepted from a comparable facility.
Level I and Level II trauma experience required.
Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood administration, IV vasopressors, and ventilated patients.
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI/MAB/Team certification.
Preferred: NIHSS and TNCC.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Teaching hospital experience preferred.

Intermittent weekend coverage is required. Candidates must be available to work 2 of the 3 upcoming major holidays. No on-call requirement. Travelers will not be assigned trauma patients initially. COVID-19 vaccination is required; medical and religious exemptions are accepted.
