Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved techniques and standards
- Document care according to standards
- Perform assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
- Develop and execute patient care plans per individualized needs and physician prescriptions
- Participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance
- Provide clinical guidance to other units/departments
- Utilize critical thinking for patient safety and escalate appropriately
- Engage in nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, and peer review
Qualifications
Required:
- Active IL RN Licensure
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certification
- TNCC or TNS certification
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
