Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in the emergency department, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using the EPIC charting system.
• Manage emergency situations effectively, including trauma, cardiac events, and other critical conditions.
• Perform triage and prioritize patient care based on severity of condition.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Active New York Single State RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is a hard requirement.
• Proficiency in IV therapy, ventilator management, cardiac monitoring, and emergency care.
• Ability to work night shifts (7p–7a) and every other weekend.
• Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed.
