Description

American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN with Level I trauma experience and an active MI RN license for a night shift assignment.

Details

  • Level I Trauma Center with Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department
  • Combined general adult/pediatric emergency department
  • High patient ratios of 1:5-6, potentially up to 1:8 depending on patient volume and holidays
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
  • Weekend requirement of 3 weekends (Fri-Sun) per 4-week schedule, with variable weekend day coverage
  • Floating required, including possible floating to Pediatrics
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active MI RN license required by start date (compact license not accepted)
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
  • ENPC certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Level I trauma center experience required
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
  • Travel RN experience required or must be a strong candidate profile
  • Proof of high school level education required

Additional Information

  • Care for patients presenting with trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies
  • Certifications may not be pending beyond contract start date
  • Pre-start modules required outside of scheduled clinical hours
  • Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel
  • First-time travelers may be considered
  • Returning staff members must wait 12 months before being eligible to return
  • Maximum 5 days of RTO allowed per assignment, must be submitted at time of application
