Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Location: Appleton, Wisconsin
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour variable shifts
• Shift Schedule: Variable day, evening, and night shifts, including schedules such as 7 a.m.–7 p.m., 9 a.m.–9 p.m., 11 a.m.–11 p.m., 1 p.m.–1 a.m., 3 p.m.–3 a.m., and 7 p.m.–7 a.m.
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday Rotation: Potential coverage the night before holidays and on holidays
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4
• Charting: Epic experience within the past year required
• Floating: May be required to support regional facilities within approximately 60 miles
• Travel Experience: At least one completed travel assignment required

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Requirements

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 3 years of professional nursing experience
• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience
• Emergency Department triage experience strongly preferred
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Associate degree or nursing certificate required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing strongly preferred
• Ability to work variable 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends, and potential holiday assignments
• Solid black scrubs required

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, timely, and compassionate nursing care to patients presenting with emergency and acute conditions
• Perform focused assessments, emergency triage, patient monitoring, medication administration, and ongoing reassessments
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to emergent needs
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and ancillary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in Epic
• Support emergency procedures, patient stabilization, education, discharge planning, and transfers
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards, patient safety protocols, and department policies
• Provide flexible nursing coverage across regional facilities when needed
