Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the emergency department.
• Perform IV therapy, including blood product administration, central line care, and phlebotomy.
• Manage ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and IV vasopressors.
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and provide emergency care for various conditions such as stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury.
• Implement isolation precautions and triage patients effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for accurate and efficient documentation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting.
• Active New York State RN license (single state, non-compact).
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Strong clinical skills in emergency care, including management of acute psychosis, drug overdose, and traumatic injuries.
• Ability to work night shifts (7p-7a) and every other weekend and holiday as needed.
