Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications
• At least 1 year of emergency department nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and confidence in a fast-paced, high-acuity ER setting
• Experience in a community hospital or acute care environment preferred
• Epic experience is preferred
• Ability to float within the specialty as needed
• Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients across all age groups
• Perform triage, patient assessment, and ongoing monitoring in a busy emergency room environment
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and prioritize care appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments according to emergency nursing best practices
• Support care for a wide range of emergency presentations, including medical, behavioral health, pediatric, and geriatric cases
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote efficient patient flow and positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety, infection control, and quality standards
• Contribute to a dependable, team-oriented environment in a self-scheduled workflow
