Travel Nursing Job Details

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Michigan
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience; emergency department experience strongly preferred
- Emergency Room or Emergency Department nursing experience with demonstrated ability to care for patients across the acuity spectrum
- Current required life-support and emergency nursing certifications, as applicable to the assignment
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and every other holiday
- Successful completion of required credentialing, competency, background, health, and compliance screening
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and teamwork skills
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with emergent and urgent medical conditions
- Provide timely, compassionate nursing care in a fast-paced emergency department
- Monitor patient status, identify changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with orders and established protocols
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support effective patient outcomes
- Assist with emergency procedures and maintain readiness for rapidly changing clinical situations
- Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care plans accurately
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and a positive patient care experience
