Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) / Evening Shift (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Every other weekend required | Every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across all emergency diagnoses at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Perform and manage IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV vasopressors
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and operate CPAP/BiPAP equipment
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, managing dysrhythmias as indicated
• Care for patients presenting with CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Conduct triage, maintain isolation precautions, and utilize specialized equipment including Bair hugger and rapid infuser

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required at time of submission (NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses are not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must be included and valid at time of submission
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Minimum 1 year of emergency room nursing experience required
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with adult and pediatric emergency care including gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma
• Familiarity with pediatric spinal cord injury management
• Experience floating within skillset across emergency department settings
