Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• At least 1 completed travel assignment
• Experience caring for adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Cerner experience required
• Must be comfortable working in a community hospital environment
• Strong clinical background managing a wide range of emergency conditions
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend
• Flu vaccination required

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and compassionate care to Emergency Department patients across the lifespan
• Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-moving clinical setting
• Administer medications, fluids, and other treatments per physician orders and clinical protocols
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Support care for common emergency presentations such as chest pain, respiratory distress, stroke symptoms, trauma, abdominal pain, and psychiatric emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated acute care
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Cerner
• Maintain patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards at all times
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a high-volume emergency department
• Deliver excellent patient-centered care while supporting team goals and department flow
