Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department night shift position requiring 2 years of ER experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
  • 14-week assignment length
  • Level I Trauma Center environment
  • Candidates may float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

  • Active KY State or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
  • Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC
  • Preferred skills: care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation
  • Required skills: cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Trauma Level I experience preferred
  • Triage skills preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center ER
  • Responsibilities include triage, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response to dysrhythmias
  • First-time travelers will only be considered if they have Level I ER experience
  • RTO requests longer than 1 week are not approved except under special circumstances, and all RTO must be disclosed prior to offer
  • Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
  • Returning staff must be gone from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
