Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 14-week night shift assignment requiring 2 years of ER experience and KY or compact licensure.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• 14-week assignment with night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• No Trauma Level I experience necessary, though preferred
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response required
• Experience with care of ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation preferred
• Triage skills preferred
• Travel experience preferred but not required, unless candidate is from a Level I trauma facility, in which case travel experience is required
• No clean license history hits accepted
• At least 1 professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ER environment
• First-time travelers will only be considered if they have Level I ER experience
• RTO requests longer than 1 week are not approved unless under special circumstances, and all RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration
• Local candidates within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Returning permanent staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
