Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a Level III Trauma Center setting. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their skills and expertise in emergency medicine.

Facility Information

Location: Roseburg, OR

• 21 Emergency Department (ED) Beds
• 1 Trauma Bay
• 4 Fast Track Beds
• 2 Triage Rooms
• Intermixed ER Holds management
• 4 Dedicated Psych/Seclusion Rooms

Schedule and Shifts

• 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holidays scheduled as per contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions
• Conduct triage assessments and manage patient prioritization
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, PAs, and paramedics
• Manage ER holds and provide ongoing patient assessments
• Utilize telemedicine and monitoring technology effectively
• Perform blood draws and other laboratory procedures as needed
• Ensure documentation is up-to-date using the Meditech EMR system

Qualifications

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC certification required
• PALS or ENPC certification recommended but not required
• Experience working in an Emergency Department setting preferred

Support Staff

The Emergency Department is supported by:

• 24/7 ED Charge RN and House Supervisor
• ED Techs available around the clock
• In-house security personnel

Common Patient Diagnoses

Patient population primarily encompasses general emergency department cases, with a focus on high-acuity situations.

Additional Information

A comprehensive orientation will be provided prior to the first shift.
