Travel Nursing Job Details
- Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Location: Harrison, Arkansas
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
- Start Date: November 9, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: Not required
- Healthcare Setting: On-site emergency department
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Floating: As needed within scope of practice, including within the hospital
Emergency Room RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Arkansas; license must be active before the start date
- At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in an emergency department or emergency room setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Ability to work three 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and emergency response skills
- Willingness to float within the Registered Nurse scope of practice as needed
Emergency Department RN Responsibilities
- Assess, triage, and provide skilled nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns to providers and the care team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in accordance with orders and clinical protocols
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support timely diagnosis and treatment
- Perform emergency nursing interventions and assist with procedures within scope of practice
- Document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and discharge or transfer information accurately
- Provide patient and family education, emotional support, and compassionate care during stressful situations
- Maintain a safe, organized environment and support efficient emergency department operations
