Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CA licensure, BSN, and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Emergency Department setting in a teaching hospital environment
• Comfortable caring for pediatric patients in addition to adult ED cases
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• 4 weekend shifts required within a 4-week schedule
• 1:4 patient ratio
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required (EMSA not accepted)
• BSN required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Prior charge nurse experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, care of ventilated patients, isolation precautions/PPE, and triage

• Provide emergency nursing care across adult and pediatric patient populations
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Navy blue scrubs provided
• RTO must be submitted with initial profile and cannot be added later
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Former UCLA contractors, travelers, or perm employees must complete a 12-month separation and clearance before reapplying
