Registered Nurse - ER | Travel | Flossmoor, IL

Assignment Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Room team. The role involves working at offsite clinics, rotating between Flossmoor, Calumet City, and Tinley Park locations. Ideal candidates should have ER experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with diverse patient demographics.

  • Work Modality: On-site
  • Shift Details: 3x12 Nights
  • Estimated Gross Weekly Pay Package: $2116.8 (negotiable)
  • Number of Beds: 16
  • Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
  • Charting System: Epic

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in the emergency room setting
  • Manage patient care with a 4:1 daytime ratio and a 5:1 nighttime ratio
  • Administer emergency medications and perform triage
  • Manage and apply splints; start and maintain IVs
  • Identify and report signs of neglect or abuse
  • Provide care for patients with various conditions including acute psychosis, asthma, burns, and more

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • Current IL RN license
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • Experience with Epic charting system
  • Required skills include interpretation of dysrhythmias, handling psychiatric holds, and managing ER-specific conditions

Preferred:

  • Community Hospital Experience
