Registered Nurse - ER | Travel | Flossmoor, IL

Assignment Overview

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, working across three offsite clinics in Flossmoor, Calumet City, and Tinley Park, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced ER setting, providing care to a diverse patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics.

Assignment Details

  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2116.8 (negotiable)
  • Work schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts
  • Self-scheduling with weekend coverage
  • Charting system: Epic
  • Orientation hours: 12

Responsibilities

  • Manage emergency room patients with conditions such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthmatic attacks, burns, and more
  • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
  • Start and maintain IVs, manage splints, and conduct phlebotomy
  • Conduct triage and obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
  • Identify and report neglect or abuse cases
  • Handle psychiatric holds, manage violent behavior, and oversee mental health conditions

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience
  • IL RN license
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
  • Experience with a patient ratio of 4:1 during days
  • Skills: Emergency medications, infection management, seizure response, psychiatric care, and more

Preferred:

  • Community hospital experience
