Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – Medford, OR 97504

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Medford, Oregon

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required. 13-week assignment through January 11, 2027.

Highlights:

  • Level 3 trauma center with 22-room, 26-bed emergency department
  • 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts
  • Diverse patient population including trauma, stroke, chest pain, pediatrics, behavioral health, and infectious diseases
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • Care for all age groups from neonates to geriatrics in a 108-bed short-term acute care facility
  • First-time travelers welcome with 12 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience; at least 1 year required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (required for Level 3 trauma center), NIHSS
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Proficiency in critical skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, ventilated patient care, isolation precautions, and triage
  • Experience with critical drips, phlebotomy, IVs, EKGs, and port access
  • Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
