Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active MI RN license and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Details

  • Work in a combined adult/pediatric Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
  • Contract length up to 26 weeks with preference noted at submission
  • No call requirement
  • Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
  • No floating requirement, though travelers are first to float if needed
  • Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active Michigan RN license required
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA)
  • Preferred certifications: ENPC, NIHSS, and CPI
  • Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
  • Level I Trauma Center experience strongly recommended
  • Supervisor-level references required
  • Proof of flu vaccination required with submission, or exemption request within 48 hours of signing

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population in a high-acuity trauma setting
  • Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
  • RTO limited to no more than 10 days, with holiday RTO not guaranteed
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
  • Previous internal travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
  • Annual and orientation modules are self-reported and completed as part of onboarding
