Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night shift position requiring TNCC and NIHSS certifications along with a CO or compact RN license.

Details

  • Emergency Department setting within a 50-bed facility
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30), various days of week
  • Required to work every other weekend
  • No on-call requirements
  • May float within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities in the North Region
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

  • Active RN license (CO state or compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of ER nursing experience required
  • Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy and arterial line management
  • Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP and ventilated patients
  • Proficient in triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of dysrhythmias
  • Experience administering IV vasopressors and emergency response
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions/PPE and computerized documentation
  • No previous employment with UCHealth or its affiliates allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide emergency nursing care including triage, medication administration, and emergency response
  • Complete all facility-specific modules within the first week of assignment
  • Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods during peak facility needs
  • No blocked scheduling requests permitted
  • First-time travelers welcome to apply as long as experience requirements are met
  • Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for local rate
