Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Chewelah, WA 99109
Start Date: October 5, 2026
Location: Chewelah, Washington
Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends required. Patient ratio approximately 1:5-6. No on-call required.
Highlights:
- 13-week travel assignment at a 23-bed Critical Access Hospital
- Emergency Department serving all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
- Average daily census of 16 patients with 7 treatment rooms and 11 total beds
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and interpretation services
- Floating between units may be required; flexibility to float to nearby sister facilities as needed
- Holiday commitment required: must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
- Preferred certifications: NRP
- Epic charting experience preferred
- Experience with combined adult/pediatric emergency care across all age groups
- Proficiency in emergency procedures including IV starts, blood product administration, triage, 12-lead EKG, BiPAP/CPAP management, and isolation precautions
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
- Must not reside within 50-mile local radius
