Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with a CO or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience for a night shift assignment.

Details

• General Emergency Department caring for a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM-7:00 AM), various days of the week
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within scope to similar units to meet facility needs
• Uses Epic charting system
• Manages multiple patient assignments with varying acuity

Requirements

• Active RN license (CO or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC, and CPI
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients preferred
• Travel RN experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, IV sedation and vasopressors, BiPAP/CPAP management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and triage

• Provide emergency nursing care while adapting to changing patient volumes and department needs
• Quickly integrate into a fast-paced team and maintain a positive attitude during high-census periods
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
• Maximum of 10 RTO days per 13-week contract, with blackout periods where RTO is not approved
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
• Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or its affiliates may be ineligible for consideration
• Travelers who completed a full year on assignment in this department are not eligible for rebooking for at least one year
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
