Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) – 13-Week Contract in Everett, WA

Experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse needed for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Everett, Washington. Join a high-acuity ED team caring for adult and pediatric trauma, stroke, STEMI, behavioral health, and critically ill patients. Travel RN Job Details

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950

  • Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract

  • Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; evening/night shift, approximately 4:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m.
  • Hours: 36 hours per week; weekends required
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 4:1
  • Emergency Department Volume: Approximately 220 visits per day
  • Additional Scheduling: Flexibility to float to nearby affiliated locations may be required

Emergency Department RN Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Current Registered Nurse license for Washington State or a compact license in hand at submission
  • Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
  • ENPC or applicable pediatric emergency nursing certification, when required for the assignment
  • Recent Epic electronic medical record experience required
  • Experience caring for adult and pediatric patients in a high-acuity emergency department
  • Strong clinical background in trauma, stroke, STEMI, critical care, and behavioral health
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and assigned holidays
  • Demonstrated competence with emergency procedures, critical care interventions, and patient triage

Travel Emergency Nurse Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Perform rapid assessments, triage, reassessments, prioritization, and stabilization for patients with varying acuity levels.
  • Care for patients experiencing stroke, STEMI, trauma, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, orthopedic trauma, behavioral health emergencies, and other critical conditions.
  • Monitor and manage ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, vasopressors, dysrhythmias, arterial lines, central lines, and BiPAP/CPAP therapy.
  • Administer blood products, procedural sedation, and emergency medications according to established protocols.
  • Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases while recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
  • Initiate and maintain IV access, perform phlebotomy, apply isolation precautions, and support safe patient transport.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary partners.
  • Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic.
  • Support a safe, compassionate, and efficient emergency care environment while maintaining professional communication with patients and families.
